Intelli IMT-900 Chromatic Clip-on Tuner w/ Tranposing Review

(More customer reviews)The IMT-900 is a good performer. It is definitely superior to the Korg AT-2, which it replaces. My old Korg AT-2 was still functional but suffered from all of the obvious drawbacks. It was heavy, bulky, slow, and subject to ambient noise. The IMT-900 is light, small, more easily read, much faster, and immune to off-instrument influence. True, the low E on my guitar is a slower read than the other five strings but proper positioning of the tuner makes it easy. One reviewer complained that his IMT-500 was badly scratched when it arrived. Most likely, he failed to read the notice about removing the protective covering from the instrument. The covering is soft and scratches with a fingernail! Underneath is a crystal hard, sparkling clear, polycarbonate plate that looks great. Another reviewer complained that his IMT-500 finally worked after the third new battery. I tested the battery that came with my IMT-900 and it read 3.22 volts. Obviously a fresh lithium cell. Perhaps the reviewer was unfamiliar with CR-2032 installion and finally got it right.
Anyway, I opted for the IMT-900 over the IMT-500 even though it was $2.00 more expensive. The IMT-900 is described as an improvement over the IMT-500, comes postage paid for $17.99 from this excellent Amazon.com vendor and, unless someone accidentally steps on it, I expect it to last many decades (or a dozen battery changes -- whichever comes first). Altogether, this is an excellent buy and almost a quantum leap from my Korg of the "bad old days."

Samson AirLine 77 UHF TD Wireless Guitar System with AG1 Transmitter, Channel N2 Review

(More customer reviews)I have used this transmitter on my electric violin for over a year and am so happy I bought it. I thought I would like the freedom of being wireless but now that I'm used to it could never see myself going back to using a cord. It's like thinking about using a corded landline telephone.
The sound quality is very good. I even use it in the studio to produce albums. You can hear samples on my website by listening to "Remember" or "Here and Now" which were both recorded using the wireless unit.
There is likely a slight increase in noise but I am willing to accept that to gain the freedom of movement that allows for clearer artistic expression. I'll never go back.

Saga LB-12V Full Size Brazilwood Viola Bow Review

(More customer reviews)Circuit breaker is very very useful for me, i use it to connect my pedal to amp, i seldom use it pedal-guitar since i have a custom series cable 20' and it's longer definitely. It's not very flexible though since it tangles easily but that's only a minor gripe, it's very durable and i get clear tones out of it, no obvious tone suck. I love planet waves already, it's priced reasonably, pro quality, seems like built to last! Buy this cable and you won't regret it.

Artino Cello Practice Mute Review

It just turns the volume down by half which is good because I live in an apartment. However, if I want to practice in the middle of the night, I think my neighbours can still hear me.

Pickup Transducer for Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar, Ukulele, Etc Review

(More customer reviews)I asked at a well known and respected guitar shop in the San Francisco area about installing a pickup in my Pono tenor ukulele which is very nice except that it projects sound back to the player poorly. The shop wanted to put in a similar style (stick on, unamplified piezo soundboard transducer) Fishman pickup for $175. That seemed unreasonable for a $300 instrument. So I found this pickup, read the one review, and figured I'd get it and try it out. Worst case if I didn't like it, I could just pull it out and have the Fishman installed and use this transducer on other instruments in emergencies. Well, it was easy to install and the ukulele sounds great when plugged into our Roland AC-90 acoustic amp. I don't feel like I'm missing anything except the brand name recognition. Try it. I bet you'll like it too.

Planet Waves Circuit Breaker Instrument Cable, 10 feet Review

(More customer reviews)Although pricey, I find this a very low-noise, high quality cable. I like the break switch on the right angle connector, but the jury is still out on the durability of the switch There are two things that keep this cable from getting five starts.
1. The connectors are HUGE, and silvery-gray. I guess that makes it distinguishable ion the bottom of the bag though. I have one guitar with a recessed/angled cord jack, and this cable is too big to fit into it properly.
2. The cable itself is somewhat stiff. It's probably because it has better shielding properties, but it's more difficult to coil than my other Planet Waves cables.

They go on easily, with a little dish-washing detergent. You trim off any overhang. If you have a Wolf-style shoulder rest, you will eventually need these. Mine lasted for 18 months before the first one needed to be replaced.

(More customer reviews)I had a two day delivery for the violin. It did not have a bow. They ran out. Offered to send me a different kind. I agreed to it. But they misunderstood my permission to the new and still made me wait for the wood bow. It finally got delivered and it was "cracked". Sent an email and pics of the "cracked bow". No one replied. I was not happy with all of this.. I sent them again another email and i will see if they will reply this time. I paid extra for fast delivery and still have wait and now a cracked wood bow. When can I play this violin? Never?

I would refuse to play guitar without it, its that simple. you can pretty much create any sound you want and i would consider the whammy pedal just as important as my guitar. its easy to use, and extremely worth it, dont second guess here, put up the money trust me its worth it. Cremona SC-100 Premier Novice Cello, 3/4 Size Review

(More customer reviews)I'm so regret buying this cello. I have only used it for a month and a week,then I find a very big crack on it. I didn't notice that so many pinting were peeled off already.I did see some peeled off pinting when I got the cello, but I thought it wouldn't be a big problem for using. But now, 15 inches long creak is a really serious prolem. I also bought a violin here which has a same problem.

Pitch Pocket Tuners HST Clip-On Tuner Review

(More customer reviews)First, I am a beginner at tuning stringed instruments and music. This tuner works, but it is very sensitive and the needle moves very quickly. I find the red display hard to read. It is nice that the display changes color when you are on key, but the change is sudden and the sweet spot is very narrow. I also have an 'Intelli IMT-500' tuner and like that tuner MUCH better. With it I can 'sneak up' on the note as the meter moves more slowly and the display is much easier to read. Perhaps the Pitch Pocket would be fine for an expert who just needs to verify the instrument is in tune, but I will use the IMT-500.
The reason I have two is that I built two ukuleles and I wanted a tuner in each case. I thought I would see which tuner I liked better and I found out.
