(More customer reviews)The item does not stay on my daughters 3/4 violin. The slightest touch and the thing would snap off. The part that touches the violin is hard plastic and I was not comfortable with it pressed up on the violin. It sounds good, however the item does not work.

Generally speaking, painted violins aren't the best choice but my 12yr old daughter loves it & it makes a statement! Expect to have to replace all of the strings, though. They all broke w/in about 3 weeks. Still a GREAT deal.

Disney Movie Hits for Violin Songbook - BK+CD Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter is part way through suzuki book 2 and this is still ahead of her level by quite a lot. I was hoping there might be at least one tune in there she could learn now to have something different at her recital than everyone playing suzuki, plus I thought she would get a kick out of learning something from a Princess movie.
Many of the tunes change key part way through, and they are not the standard keys taught at least to this point. We were most interested in 'A whole New World' from Aladdin, (and the other Disney Princess songs in the book) but will have to wait as it is in F major. It does look to be the easiset in the book.
The last 1/4 of 'Prince Ali' from Aladdin is in a key with 3 flats (excuse my lost music theory knowledge, I haven't done it since I was a kid!), which includes the open strings of A and E, definitely not for a beginner violinist - I wonder why they chose this key? 'Belle' from Beauty and the Beast starts off nicely in D major , but ends in F major, with many other flats thrown in.
The CD will be very helpful when she comes to try them as there are some more complicated rhythms.
I am afraid by the time she gets to the skill level of these tunes she may be past her Princess stage, which is a shame :-) (she is 7)

(More customer reviews)This stand folds up nicely in an over the shoulder travel bag. There is enough extra space in the bag for my Kun shoulder rest. The stand is nice. I never worry about the violin falling out. This stand has a place to put your rosin, which many other stands do not have. I also have an Ingles stand, which is also good, but I definitely prefer the Hercules stand. Both stands work great for a mandolin too.

The CM-100L Contact Microphone is a perfect compliment to any tuner that offers an audio input jack. The mic can be positioned to get a more sensitive measurement, while allowing the tuner to be positioned for easier reading.

It definitely needs a shoulder rest, some better rosin and a better set of strings, but for the price, this is wonderful. The line out jack does not seem to work (or I couldn't figure it out), but the phones jack works just fine for the amp. The price was even better after google'ing it ;) Nice as a gift to my dad.

Cremona SV-225 Premier Student Violin, 1/2-Size Review

Unfortunately the first day the instructor took the bow and turned the tension knob the bow broke. Unfortunately it was day 31 and Amazon.com has no way to contact them to discuss the defective merchandise. I am officially done with Amazon.com. I would have thought that a $200.00 violin would have been constructed better. I now have to go and search for a new bow. Violin came without any manufacturer details so can not make any contact to discuss any possible warranty info. UPDATE I was able to contact amazon.com and was pleasantly suprised when a brand new violin arrived on my doorstep. I did not use the new bow because I purchased a fiberglass bow from a local violin shop. My son has been using this violin since it was purchased and he absolutely loves it. I will be attending his first concert in a few weeks.
