(More customer reviews)I have been playing violin for ten years. I have tried a variety of violin strings. These strings have volume and power. They have a somewhat dark sound, but it's very rich. One downfall is that they eat rosin off the bow tremendously, and if you're not careful to really keep the bow rosined, you'll lose the smoothness of the strings easily. Great G and great D. A is good, and the E is excellent, has no shrillness and is the easiest E I've ever played. They are a bit expensive, but if you're looking for a different sound from your violin, they're worth a try. If you're looking for a brighter sound from your violin, you might try Thomastik Infeld Blue. I see saw between those two- the Thomastik and Larsen.
