I am a confessed Gear-a-holic. I love to find things like the studio instruments kit that don't cost an arm n leg, but that will "Broaden" your color pallet of sound. It's a tool that is fun to use, visually easy to understand and the sound is pleasing. What more could you ask for?

We ended up disposing of our Monster Cables, after less than a year of normal use due to intermittent distortion and static at the cable connection plugs.

Kun Collapsible Viola Shoulder Rest Standard 15+ Inch Review

(More customer reviews)I was not impressed with the poor directions that came with this shoulder rest. Furthermore, it tends to slide off the instrument much more easily than I expected. My daughter is still using it, but I expected a better product; I suppose it is a better deal and less expensive than the fabric slip-on Shoulder rests that cost 35.00 !

Golden Gate P-180 Banjo Mute (Nickel Plated Brass) Review

(More customer reviews)I was hopeful for this piece of equipment when I bought one, but was pretty much immediately disappointed, and I'm actually kicking myself not having seen how pointless it was before I bought it.
Functionally, yes, it will mute your banjo, for the minute or two it stays on without having to re-apply pressure to it. You basically have to forcefully wedge the thing onto the bridge (just look at how it's notched... a more ham-fisted approach I can't imagine), and even if you could get the thing to stick for more than a lick or two, there's no possible way to get it to stay without causing damage to the bridge. Metal vs. wood, 'n all.
There are far better options out there. The best was one I'd had years ago, and haven't seen its like since, but I left it with my family band's banjo for my little brother. It was a weighed bar, bullet shaped at both ends, with dual metal plates fluted out and slotted for banjo string spacing that pinched the bridge without too much pressure, but enough to keep it in place. I'd love to find another.

(More customer reviews)This pedal is great. The Sustain knob (controls dist./sust.) has a wide range of choices. You want a great 70's dist. or a bit more heavy? Just adjust the knob! AWESOME and very smooth sustain, and the tone is killer from this pedal. I only had to tweak the knobs a bit before I had "that" feeling iin the back of my neck. The one that says, "That's it right there!"
The size of this pedal is nice too, it's a bit wider than say a BOSS, but it doesn't take up too much room. The box is pretty sturdy, it will take some abuse!
Alone or with a few effects, this is a great pedal
